In this Act Ortrud does not do much singing, but she has to react to the action. All emotions on her face. Standing still. There is power in this. I could not take my eyes off her. You have to learn this opera to understand what was happening. Ortrud is one of the greatest roles in the opera literature.
Great horns in Lohengrin.
