Teresa Zylis-Gara RIP

Sadly the great Teresa Zylis Gara has passed away at the age of 91.  I'm plowing through the files for the essence of this marvelous performer. The images span 1971 to 1983.  First COSI FAN TUTTE, Fiordiligi with Roz Elias  as  Dorabella. The whole cast was marvelous, pure Mozart.
 

DON GIOVANNI, March 1974, the Catalogue aria with Paul Plishka as Leporello. Zylis Gara was Elvira, Sherrill Milnes as Don Giovanni.

OTELLO, March 1972 with James McCracken in the title role. Zylis Gara as Desdemona.
